Touring in Argentina
Argentina is a vast and diverse landscape with some incredible natural wonders, from the mountains of the Andes to the flat deserts of the north - the scenery is varied and beautiful. Alongside this wonderment there are cosmopolitan cities and bustling towns, making Argentina a place to suit everyone.
The country has a true rugby culture and the national team, The Pumas, rank highly in the world. The sport was first played in Argentina back in 1873, but was formalised in 1899 by four clubs in Buenos Aires. These clubs formed the River Plate Rugby Football Union, now the Union Argentina de Rugby. From the early days when the British bought rugby to the country, the Argentineans proved a strong force in the game. However it was only in 1999 that they showed their true ability when the Pumas smashed Ireland to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

Although rugby has faced some problems over the past ten years in Argentina, the sport has struggled on, and they remain one of the true giants of the sport. Because of this great tradition of rugby in Argentina there is no shortage of teams and supporters, making it a great place to tour.
The diversity of this fantastic country is reflected in the combination of bustling cosmopolitan cities like Buenos Aires and incredible natural wonders like the Iguazu Falls, which are deeper than Niagara and wider than Victoria Falls. As part of the tour you can stay in this fantastic area, taking walks over the paths of the falls and guided jungle hikes to see some of the amazing animals that make this hot climate their home.
